sMRT AU9 WF (WindFarm) You use the AU9-WF with a MRT SARFINDER base unit as part of a Maritime Survivor Locating System (MSLS). Seconds after you hit the water, it sends a homing signal on 121.5 MHz, which the base unit tracks. Using the radio direction finding tone, your crew will be able to save you quicker to give you the best possible chance of survival. Search and Rescue can also track your position using the 121.5 MHz frequency. With a 500mW power output, the AU9-WF can transmit its emergency signal much further than other MSLDs. Its longer range can make all the difference to the safety of crew in remote locations, such as offshore wind farms.
